Filament-reinforced polyester electrical tape with acrylic adhesive for coil winding, lead anchoring and banding.

3M™ Filament-Reinforced Electrical Tape 1039 uses a polyester film/glass-filament scrim backing with a pressure-sensitive acrylic adhesive. The reinforced construction provides high tensile and dielectric strength with low stretch and controlled unwind. Typical applications include holding magnet wire, copper strips and insulation materials during coil winding, as well as lead anchoring, end-turn tapping and coil banding. The official 3M product page lists a service range from -40 to 130 °C.
