Nomex® 410 Aramid Paper

Nomex® 410 is a family of aramid insulation papers with high inherent dielectric strength, mechanical toughness, flexibility and resilience. It is the original form of Nomex® paper and is available in thicknesses from 0.05 mm to 0.76 mm (2 mil to 30 mil).

Nomex® 410 is used in almost every known electrical sheet insulation application and is found in the majority of electrical equipment applications. It is compatible with virtually all classes of electrical varnishes and adhesives, with transformer fluids such as mineral and silicone oils and natural and synthetic esters, and with lubricating oils and refrigerants used in hermetic systems.

Its fire performance is certified to EN 45545-2 for fire protection on railway vehicles, where the product has been assigned safety category Hazard Level 2. UL ratings are listed under Arclin’s UL file number E34739.
